Deuteronomy 30:6: And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. (ESV)

rose-402093_640The heart is a delicate part of the human being, and by that we are not talking about the physical heart, but the metaphysical one, the core of our being, our personality. It is the place from where the rhythm of our lives flows.

The bible says we should guard our heart with all diligence because out of it flows the issue of life (Proverbs 4:23). The point is, you cannot control what flows from your heart, but you can control what flows to it, in the influences you subject it to.

Paul warned that evil influences corrupt good manners (1Corinthians 15:33). And he was talking to believers. He was…

It’s a Matter of Perception

Deeply Rooted in Him

I took this photo of a footprint in the sand at the beach a week ago. When I went back and looked at it, instead of looking like an impression of a footprint in the sand, it looked more like a raised footprint built up in the sand. I am not a photographer and can’t explain why it looks so different in the picture than it did in person. It is all about perception.

How often is our perception of a person or a situation skewed by our personal perspective? Too often we look at a person or situation and decide why someone acted a particular way or why a situation turned out a specific way. When we do so, we are ascribing motives and variables than may not exist and our perception may be a bit off.

What if instead of looking for people’s motives, we look at…

The meaning of numbers in the Bible

Excerpt:

An essential key to understanding the design of God’s Word is through the meaning of Biblical numbers. The connections and patterns of numerals, when we search them out and understand them, reveal the handiwork of God. Although the arrangement of some is obvious, others are not and require in-depth Bible study. The Biblical numbers found do not exist by random chance but by design. Each one has a particular meaning and symbolism attached to it by our Creator.

Those who research the Bible have discovered patterns in the occurrences and frequency of certain Hebrew and Greek words. These offer additional proof that God inspired every word used in the book that boldly proclaims to reveal His will, plan, and purpose for man. God challenges us through Isaiah that HE ALONE is Creator:

“‘To whom then will you compare Me, or who is My equal?’ says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold, who has created these things, who brings out their host by number.” (Isaiah 40:25, The Holy Bible in Its Original Order)

Celebrating Christmas

I have seen so many people arguing about Christmas. I found this article quite interesting. I truly do believe we need to drop this topic and let people live their lives according to what the Holy Spirit has led them to believe and feel in their own hearts. God does judge us by our own hearts and not be how others judge us. That being said I am not posting this to start an argument but rather to try and stop some arguments. We are not supposed to be arguing!  Please do not post any comments here that will start a debate or and argument. I will delete any such posts. God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

The War Within: Flesh Vs. Spirit

This is an excellent sermon which I would recommend to anyone!  This is where grace comes in.  When we walk by the Spirit we are no longer under the law. To do this we must keep our heart happy in God “By meditating on the trustworthiness and preciousness of God’s promises until our hearts are free of all fretting and guilt and greed. This is how the Holy Spirit fills and leads.”  When we do this the Spirit leads us into the things of God naturally and we are no longer under the law. If we are not walking by the Spirit we are still under the law because we are still living in the flesh!  This is very eye opening! 🙂  Worth a good study too.
