My husband planted 27 peach trees and 2 plum trees this last spring of 2011. There is a lot to learn about caring for trees.  Peach trees have a plethora of difficulties associated with them.  For one thing everything loves peach trees, especially grasshoppers!

I am hoping to get a head start on the grasshopper thing next season by using neem oil and a bait to kill them.  They are horribly destructive to everything in their path even my house plants that I put outside in the summer.  Nolo Bait is what we used this last year but we didn’t know about it soon enough.  I found a link to a site that helped me to understand how it works.  Here is the link in case you need it. http://www.biconet.com/biocontrol/noloinfo.html
