Deboriah’s Emporium

I just started a group for my sales on Facebook.  Having so much fun getting it set up.  I think it will be a great way to communicate with my customers and have fun while doing my job.  I sell all types of merchandise including items that I make myself.  I make jewelry, altered bottles, decoupaged and collaged items, and am dabbling in mixed media art.  So much fun but not enough time in the day for it all!
I tend to collect a lot of jewelry so that is one of the items I sell most.  You will find pottery, glass, toys, clothing, books, fishing items, sporting goods, tools, and whatever else I run across to sell!  lol  Eclectic should be my middle name I guess.  🙂

Jesus is the Light!

Everything and I do mean everything that we have on this earth can be made into a parable to understand the ways of God. Take for instance our ways of traveling.  Roads, signs, bridges etc….  There are roads and on these roads are all sorts of signs that help us get to where we are going.  Life itself is a road and if we look around we can see signs everywhere that show us where we are going. If we ignore those signs we get lost and or suffer consequences. Sometimes that is death or an accident.  The same holds true with life in general and the paths we choose to take. 

The Bible says there is only one way to get to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ! Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)  One can take the wrong road and go someplace else besides Heaven if they do not follow the signs that God has given us!  The signs are all around us!  The world is in darkness and cannot see and some refuse to see these signs.  

The bible says that the wages of sin is death.  Most people have within their own hearts a moral compass that shows them what sin is. They know when they are doing right and when they are doing wrong.  This is built in to us because God created us that way!  It shows too as a lot of people that don’t even know Jesus as Lord are basically good hearted people. But it is also obvious that there are some that shut that compass off or decide not to pay attention to it.  😦  Sadly these people will follow the wrong path which ultimately leads to death.  

If you are seeking the right path know this.  Jesus is the light!  He will show you that path.  It isn’t that hard to understand really.  The biggest problem most times is our own foolish pride and or ego.  Some people think that Jesus is a crutch.  I am here to tell you right now that if He is I need that crutch!  But He really isn’t a crutch, He is a rock!  Jesus is THE ROCK on which I choose to build my life!  My faith is in Him and Him alone. There is no other way than through Him to reach the Father and this I know in my heart.  If you don’t know Jesus as the Lord of your life please do not wait any longer to seek Him out.  Time is short now and the time of Grace is nearing the end. Don’t wait until it is too late and you are thinking: I should have listened to those people I thought were crazy.  Jesus loves you! You have everything to gain and nothing to lose. It is a decision that you will never regret.

Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
